Sunday 25th June 2006-Six In One- Tonbridge, John (Boy) Walton takes his 2nd British Pentathlon Title in Tonbridge.Only 3 former British Pentathlon Champions lined-up following the withdrawal of 2 times winner, Andy Fordham, Tony Eccles (2005), John Walton (2002) and 6 times Champion, Martin Adams (1994, 1996, 1999-2001 & 2004). Add Steve Farmer and you have the leaders at the lunch break. The Halve-it was pulled out the bag by Sussex player, Jim Withers with 502, with good efforts also from Tony Eccles and a noisy Ted Hankey with 489 & 473 respectively. At this stage of proceedings, John Walton was increasing his lead against the rest of the field and leaving Tony Eccles and Phil Nixon in his wake.
